Each year since it started, we’ve had our Sherwood shoppe open for the mid-year Celtic Festival. It has always been held in September so that those involved in TRF would still be able to enjoy or participate in this one weekend event at Sherwood.
After the scorching temperatures last year, Sherwood has shifted the Celtic Festival to December this year! I for one am extremely excited to have this event in cooler weather, with the potential to layer up for the cold. I’ve often had to forgo wearing my tartans during the September event so I could function through the whole day. And, let’s face it, few people want to be trying on clothing when they are hot and sticky. We’re taking this schedule change as a win!
Me and my team are so happy to experience this event in December this year, and we hope you’ll join us as well! Sherwood Celtic Yuletide Festival will take place December 13th and 14th at Sherwood Forest Faire, east of Austin, Texas. Friday night events are limited to the top of the hill near to the Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem Pub, while Saturday’s festivities are held throughout the festival site.
More info on the Sherwood Celtic Yuletide Festival is available on Sherwood’s Website.
