Discovered in a former boudoir of Palais Cardinal, Paris, this jewel was said to have been given to the favourite lover of the powerful 17th Century French war minister and clergyman, and notorious womaniser, Cardinal Richelieu.
Baroque style inspires this beautifully delicate necklace with rose vine detail and a single black rose, accentuated by a with a stunning black Austrian crystal.
Pendant hangs from a nickel-free chain with clasp fastener. Trace chain, measuring approximately 20″ total.
