This coming Saturday and Sunday! I’ll be there with Hair Jewels, Mini Cloaks, and the new lace capelets that I have yet to take pictures of. This is the perfect opportunity to buy Christmas gifts (there goes my resolve to not speak of X-mas until after Thanksgiving…) for anyone you know interested in Steampunk, as well as getting a few accessories for yourself before Elysium’s next event! Click either banner to be taken to each event’s page on Facebook.
Tomorrow evening, Elysium of Austin, Texas will be hosting the Badlands Steampunk Saloon Shindig! Entry is only $4 in costume for 21 and up and $7 without costume or under 21.
There will be vendors, poker, a burlesque show, a costume contest, and of course music and dancing! A slight change from the poster, doors will open at 7 pm.
Costume contest categories are
Best Male Steamy Old West
Best Female Steamy Old West
Best Male General Steampunk
Best Female General Steampunk
Contest prizes provided by The Mysterium, Turner’s Tokens, O.M. Grey, SteamBath Factory, Parkers and Quinn, The Brass Apple, COGstume and GEARments, Secret Oktober, Caveat Emptor Costumes and more!
Today is the opening day for this year’s Sherwood Forest Faire! I’ll of course be at shoppe 115, Iris Adornments and Apothecary. I hope to see some of y’all there!

My Etsy shop will be in vacation mode each weekend whilst the Mini Cloaks and Hair Jewels sell at the faire. I’ll update what is still available after each weekend.
We’ve decided on a new layout for Iris Adornments and Apothecary, our shoppe at Sherwood Forest Faire. Moving the counter around really opened the shoppe up with more room for customers to move about.

Only two weeks until the opening of the 2011 season of Sherwood Forest Faire! If you haven’t already bought tickets, buying them online can save you a few dollars. Check out the tickets page on Sherwood’s site to view prices and buy tickets online.
I’m keeping myself busy sewing away at cloaks, and I can’t wait until the gates open. Iris Adornments and Apothecary is sporting a new layout this year, as well as a new artist! We’ll have some beautiful hand drawn and painted maps by Jacqueline Shivers.
Remember to come by and say hi when you’re at Sherwood!

The first day of the second annual Sherwood Forest Faire is only one month away! I’ve been busy preparing new inventory for this second year,
and I can’t wait until opening day.
Sherwood is of course the only faire I vend at, but I hope that someday in the near future I can expand my venues. I encourage anyone in the area to come out and enjoy the faire for all it has to offer! There are performances, dozens of merchants, and delicious foods all around the faire. Click the map to the right to see the general layout of the faire, although it will change a bit for the new season. I’ll be at shoppe 115, Iris Adornments and Apothecary, between the Seven Sisters and the Greene Woode Stage!
The Iris Adornments and Apothecary website is getting a new look! We should have it finished in the next few weeks, in preparation for this next season of Sherwood Forest Faire.
Sherwood Forest Faire 2011 will run for seven weekends starting February 19.
